I manifested this one from my Pinterest. And my camera roll. And my Instagram saved photos. The beautiful Saint Laurent Niki. At first I couldn't justify purchasing another black YSL bag, especially since I felt like my black Lou Camera bag was so similar. But in reality, these bags are day and night. I've kept checking on the medium Niki on the preloved market for a long time, honestly just looking, but when I saw a great deal a couple weeks ago - I knew this was my chance. And here she is!
The Niki bag is making me dream of fall. Chunky sweaters, big scarves, you know the drill. It's really the best season in my opinion, and coming from exhaustingly hot summer days, I welcome the change with open arms. The Niki is my ultimate dream bag, with lots of compartments and flexible wearing options thanks to the convertible strap (double up the chain and wear on your shoulder, or wear it long way or cross-body). The crinkled leather, the moody black on black logo is also a favorite of mine, giving it a slightly edgy feel.
The Niki has one main compartment and one smaller compartment/pocket in the front. The bigger compartment has two pockets, a slip pocket and a zip pocket. The back has another pocket with a magnetic closure, perfect for a phone or another frequently accessed item. Basically you'll never run out of pockets with this bag!
My first thought upon this bag's arrival: it's much heavier than it looks! The original owner had this bag for several years, and I'm impressed at how well she took care of it (my kinda gal). You can only tell so much from pictures, you really need to inspect the bag in person to appreciate it. I can't wait to wear this beauty every day. Until then, I'll be over here, patiently waiting for fall.
